Is there a triathlon training app without an account?

Yes. Kiito, for iPhone and Apple Watch, has six triathlon training plans, from a first sprint to a full Ironman, with brick sessions and race rehearsals, and you never sign up for anything. Your training stays on your iPhone. Here is what the plans contain, what is free, and where your data goes.

In short: yes. Kiito is a triathlon and running app for iPhone and Apple Watch that you use without an account: no sign-up, no email, no password. It has six triathlon plans of 8 to 20 weeks, from a first sprint to a full Ironman, with brick sessions, race rehearsals and a race mode that times T1 and T2. Your workouts are stored on your iPhone, not on a server, and go to Apple Health only if you allow it. Recording is free; the plans need Kiito Pro, US$5.99 a month or US$44.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

What “no account” means in Kiito

  • Nothing to sign up for. You open the app and start training.
  • Your training is stored on your iPhone, in Kiito’s own database: workouts, routes, plans, gear and your thresholds. There is no cloud sync and no server of ours, and Stationify never receives your workouts or routes.
  • Apple Health, if you allow it. Kiito can save your workouts to Apple Health and read workouts from other apps there, with duplicates removed.
  • No tracking. Kiito has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. Maps, place search and directions come from Apple Maps, and purchases go through the App Store.

The first-triathlon plan is for people who can already swim 200 m, ride for 30 minutes and run for 20; our sprint triathlon guide walks through it. Kiito also has 38 other plans, for running, cycling, swimming and cross-training, from Couch to 5K to a 50K ultra.

How the plans work

  • They fit your week. Pick the days you train and the plan reshapes around them, keeping the most important sessions first: races and bricks, then intervals, then the long sessions. You can move or skip a single workout.
  • Bricks are timed as bricks. A brick session starts Kiito’s brick mode: bike, T2, run, with the transition timed.
  • Rehearsals and race day use the race mode. It takes you through swim, T1, bike, T2 and run at your plan’s race distance. You end each leg on your iPhone, Kiito times each transition, saves every leg as its own activity and adds a combined race summary with your splits.
  • Run and bike sessions are guided. Warm-up, intervals, recoveries and cool-down, with live heart-rate, pace or power targets on screen and spoken cues at every change. Swims are recorded without voice coaching; on Apple Watch you choose a 25 or 50 m pool.
  • Your week can adapt. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Kiito can suggest changes to an upcoming week from your recent training, which you accept or reject one by one. Inside the last 14 days before a goal race it won’t add duration or intensity.

What you need

  • An iPhone with iOS 26. The plans, guided sessions and race mode all run on it.
  • An Apple Watch, if you have one (watchOS 26). It records rides, runs, walks, hikes and pool swims on its own, and mirrors the workouts you start on your iPhone with your heart rate.
  • Your iPhone with you for race mode. You switch legs on the phone, and it records the route of each leg.

What is free, and what needs Kiito Pro

Free, with no time limit: recording every sport with GPS and heart rate, including a triathlon in Go. Turn on Triathlon in Settings, record the race as one activity, and enter your swim, bike and run times afterwards; it is saved to Apple Health as one multisport workout. Routes, the heatmap, gear and your daily Fitness Score are free too.

Kiito Pro: the training plans, the race and brick modes, guided and quick workouts, analytics, threshold tools and personalised zones. US$5.99 a month or US$44.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The App Store shows the price in your country.

Common questions

Do I need an account to use Kiito?

No. There is no sign-up of any kind. Your training is stored on your iPhone, and Stationify never receives it.

Which triathlon distances do Kiito's plans cover?

Sprint (750 m, 20 km, 5 km), Olympic (1.5 km, 40 km, 10 km), Ironman 70.3 (1.9 km, 90 km, 21.1 km) and full Ironman (3.8 km, 180 km, 42.2 km), plus a 12-week first-triathlon plan and an 8-week off-season base plan. The race mode also takes a custom distance.

Do Kiito's triathlon plans include brick workouts?

Yes, from 9 in the sprint and Olympic plans to 19 in the full Ironman plan. Each one starts Kiito’s brick mode, which records the bike, times T2 and records the run.

Can I train for a triathlon with Kiito without an Apple Watch?

Yes. The plans, guided sessions and race mode run on the iPhone. An Apple Watch adds your heart rate and puts the workout on your wrist.

How much does Kiito cost?

Recording, including a triathlon in Go, is free. Kiito Pro, which adds the training plans and the race and brick modes, is US$5.99 a month or US$44.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
