Kiito

Effective date: 16 April 2026 · Last updated: 16 April 2026

Your privacy is our policy, not the other way around. Kiito is built to respect you by default. All workout data, routes, and AI coaching stay entirely on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.

Who we are

Stationify Oy (Business ID: 3608699-3, D-U-N-S: 369301281) is a software company based in Helsinki, Finland. Kiito is published on the Apple App Store by Stationify Oy. This privacy policy applies specifically to the Kiito app and its watchOS companion.

Our privacy principle

We believe people own their data. Kiito follows one rule: collect nothing unless the app literally cannot function without it. All fitness data, routes, and coaching insights stay on your device. We do not operate user accounts, tracking systems, or analytics platforms.

Data we collect

The short answer: as little as possible. The table below describes the categories of data Kiito handles.

Data typeCollected?Details
GPS location & routes On-device only Kiito records GPS routes during activities (up to 50,000 points per activity). Routes are stored locally on your device. Never transmitted to any server. The route heatmap includes automatic home blur to protect your privacy.
Health & Fitness data On-device only Kiito reads and writes HealthKit data (heart rate, workouts, body metrics) to sync with Apple Health. Processed on your device. We never receive it.
Workout data On-device only Speed, distance, duration, cadence, power, elevation, calories, and other metrics are recorded and stored locally using SwiftData. Never transmitted externally.
Personal information (name, email, phone) No We do not collect personal identifiers. No account is required.
Usage analytics & tracking No We do not use analytics SDKs, ad trackers, or third-party telemetry.
Advertising data No We do not display ads or participate in ad networks.
Device identifiers No We do not read or store IDFA, IDFV, or hardware identifiers.
Purchase information Apple only Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Diagnostics & crash data Apple only If you opt in to share diagnostics with developers via iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash reports. We do not operate our own crash reporting service.

On-device intelligence

Kiito uses structured on-device analysis for readiness scoring, workout anomaly detection, and training plan matching. These computations run locally and do not require any network connection. On supported devices, Apple Intelligence provides optional natural-language coaching narration — also processed entirely on your device.

Third-party services

Kiito does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. The only third-party services involved are:

  • Apple HealthKit — for reading and writing workout and health data, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
  • Apple StoreKit — for processing the in-app purchase
  • Apple MapKit — for route display, navigation, and destination search

Data storage & security

All user data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData with iOS file protection. Kiito supports iCloud sync for your data — when enabled, your data is transferred using Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure. We never have access to it. You can delete all app data at any time by removing the app from your device.

Route privacy (home blur)

Kiito's route heatmap automatically redacts GPS points within a configurable radius (default 200m) of your home location. This protects your home address when viewing or sharing your route history. The home location is stored only on your device.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Because Kiito does not collect personal data, it complies with COPPA and similar regulations by design.

Data retention

We do not retain any user data because we do not collect any. Data you create within Kiito exists only on your device (and in your personal iCloud account, if you choose to enable sync). When you delete the app, your local data is removed with it.

Your rights

Under GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. All data remains under your control on your own device.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If Kiito introduces new data practices, we will update both this policy and the app's App Store privacy label before the change takes effect.
