Your game stays on your device. Petanque Companion keeps your games, tournaments, teams, and stats on your device. No account, no servers, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing you enter ever leaves your device — we have no backend to send it to.
Who we are
Stationify Oy (Business ID: 3608699-3, D-U-N-S: 369301281) is a software company based in Helsinki, Finland. Petanque Companion is published on the Apple App Store by Stationify Oy.
Our privacy principle
We believe people own their data. Petanque Companion follows one rule: nothing leaves your device. Scoring, tournaments, statistics, and everything else run on-device. We do not operate a backend, user accounts, tracking systems, or analytics platforms.
Data we collect
The short answer: as little as possible. The table below describes the categories of data Petanque Companion handles.

Camera permission
Petanque Companion requests camera access when you use augmented-reality scoring. The camera is used to measure the distance from each boule to the cochonnet and is never used outside an explicit measurement action. Camera frames are processed on-device and are not recorded.
Photo library permission
Add-to-Photos access is requested when you add a player photo or save an exported scorecard. Images are handled on-device and stored in your own photo library — they are never uploaded to us. The app only adds images you create; it does not read your existing photos.
Sharing and export
When you tap Share or Export, iOS's standard share sheet lets you send a scorecard or file to a destination you choose — Messages, Mail, Files, and so on. That transfer is handled by iOS and the destination app, under your control. Nothing is sent anywhere automatically.
Third-party services
Petanque Companion does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media SDKs. The only services involved are Apple's own, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy:
- Apple ARKit & RealityKit — for on-device augmented-reality boule measurement
- Apple WidgetKit & ActivityKit — for widgets and the Live Activity
- Apple WatchConnectivity — for syncing the score to your Apple Watch
Data storage & security
Your data is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS data protection, and is included in your own encrypted device backups if you have those enabled. There is no Stationify server in the loop and no cloud account. You can remove everything by deleting the relevant games and teams, or by deleting the app.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Because Petanque Companion does not collect personal data, it complies with COPPA and similar regulations by design.
Data retention
We do not retain any user data because we do not collect any on our side. Your games, teams, and stats exist only on your device. When you delete them — or delete the app — they are gone.
Your rights
Under GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. All data remains under your control on your own device.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If Petanque Companion introduces new data practices, we will update both this policy and the app's App Store privacy label before the change takes effect.
